It’s no fun not being able to say what you want to say when you want to say it.  It’s also no fun worrying and fearing speaking situations because you think or know you will stammer or stutter.

You should only read this article if you’re interested in excelling in your ability to speak well.  That is, you really want to be able to intelligently and clearly articulate your thoughts with power and impact in every situation you’re faced with.

You should NOT read this article if all you want to do is relieve the pain of stuttering immediately.  In other words, if you’re looking for a quick, fast solution, this is not the article for you?  Why not you ask?  

Because for many people, if not most, who struggle with their speech a quick solution is not realistic and will only frustrate you even more, and possibly cause you to waste thousands of dollars.

Why is a quick solution unrealistic for most people?

  1. Stammering or stuttering is large part a habitual behavior or pattern of speaking.
  2. It has both a psychological and physiological component to it.

Whenever you and I want or need to change habits, patterns, how we feel, think, believe and behave we have to understand that it absolutely will require effort and time, and effort over a sustained period of time.

Some of the latest research shows that it takes from 18 days to 254 days with 66 days being the average.  For complex and deeply ingrained habit such as stuttering, you should realistically shoot for the 254 days.  NOW, wait a minute.  Don’t get discouraged.

With the right systematic approach, you can create or build a pattern of thinking and speaking in as little as eight weeks or sooner.  HOWEVER, for many people, it will take several more months for this new pattern of thinking and speaking to become fully automated.

There is HOPE!

The great news here is that you have control over your future and your ability to completely transform your speech and life in a relatively short period of time.  Imagine that.  In 8 weeks or less, you could be living a very different life.  All you need is a systematic approach, backed by science that’s designed to change or more accurately, create a new way or pattern of thinking and speaking.

This approach should include a daily routine.  That is a series of activities you repeat each day that creates these new patterns for you.  Does this all make sense? There are no shortcuts.  

Repetition = Success!  Period.  

If you really want to improve the quality of your relationships, career, finances, self-esteem, self-confidence, and even health, then why wait, why not get started now.  The time is going to pass anyway.  Eight weeks will pass by, and you’ll be eight weeks older.  But will your speech be any better, or will you be still worrying, fearing and struggling?
